Orlando Science Center
777 E. Princeton St.
Orlando, Florida 32803
$90 per person
Free admission for one youth and one adult for every cub scout who
reached $1000 in popcorn sales in the Fall 2025 fundraiser.
Check-in: Sunday, Jan. 18, from 5-5:30 p.m.
Load out: Monday, Jan. 19, from 8-9 a.m.

Our private camp-in at the Orlando Science Center (OSC) includes overnight access to the indoor facility with several hours to explore the hands-on exhibits and experiments before we roll out our sleeping bags for a night at the museum. Sunday morning, stick around after the museum opens to the public at 10 a.m. and enjoy OSC for the rest of the day.
The cost of $90 per person includes exclusive access to OSC exhibits from 5:30 p.m. to 10 a.m., a light hot dinner in the Clubhouse, Discovery Lab activities led by OSC Educators Camp, and light breakfast in the morning before a Live Show on the Discovery Stage.

Plan to arrive at OSC between 5-5:30 p.m. The parking garage is directly across the street and accessed via a private enclosed bridge. Our group will be admitted to the facility by 5:45 p.m., and there is limited opportunity for latecomers to enter the building after this time.
The program includes a light dinner (probably pizza) and light breakfast; outside meals may not be brought in, and the shop/snack bar will not be open outside of regular operating hours. You may bring snacks & soft drinks only in a sealed container – no coolers.

Pack lightly – you will have to carry everything to and from the parking lot and through the museum building to your chosen sleeping spot. Sleeping bags and/or warm blankets and a pad/air mattress (and air pump) are must-haves! We also recommend bringing a pillow, essential toiletries, and a flashlight (we recommend each cub scout bring their six essentials). Do not bring pets. Please do not bring tablets or game consoles (or big screen TVs).
Wear layers – the exhibit areas can get cold overnight. A change of clothes is optional (we won’t judge) and closed-toe shoes are highly recommended. Please have your cub scout wear their pack t-shirt if they have one.
If you need a constant electrical supply overnight for medical equipment, you must bring your own extension cord. Please talk to an OSC staff member as soon as you enter the building to find the best spots to set up camp for access to outlets. Adults are responsible for safely and securely carrying any necessary medications for themselves or their campers.
Please note there are no showers at OSC. The bathrooms are typical for a public building with several stalls and sinks.
More detailed information about OSC Overnight Adventure rules and expectations can be found in the OSC Overnight Adventure FAQ and the Chaperone Agreement. Please make sure you read both documents before you depart for at OSC; there is a lot of really helpful information in there.

The registration deadline for our OSC Science Sleepover is Jan. 2, 2026. Registration is not complete until your full payment is received by Pack 23. If you need to change your registration, contact your den leader or leaders@pack23tallahassee.com as soon as possible. Refunds may be granted if we are able to fill your spot.
Please note: All Pack 23 Cub Scouts, their siblings, and parents/legal guardians are welcome on our high adventure. Additional adult family members, such as grandparents, may attend only if they are registered as an adult leader with the pack before attending an overnight activity. This requires a completed and approved adult volunteer application, including background check, per the Scouting America Guide to Safe Scouting.
